  2. God sees and judges rightly (5-7)
  3. Friendship with God is a shelter and shield (8)

Bible Fellowship Group Study Questions:

  1. Read Genesis 6:1-2. Who were the sons of man and the sons of God? How do we come to that conclusion?
  2. Why did the sons of God fall into disobedience? Consider Jeremiah 17:9 in your answer. What is the remedy for this problem?
  3. When we turn our backs on God, as these sons of God do the passage, we step out of God’s blessing and into His judgment (Genesis 6:7). Pastor Anton said that we have two options: sit under the judgment of God’s Word in obedience now and allow it to judge our hearts and lead us to repentance, or we can wait until we stand before Jesus Christ in the Final Judgment. Do you agree? Why or why not?
  4. Read Genesis 6:8. What do we see in God’s favor (grace) toward Noah? Consider Luke 4:16-19 and how it relates to you today.
  5. What is the cost of disobedience? How are you/we responding to the year of God’s favor as an individual, a family, and a church?
