Bible Fellowship Group Study Questions:
- In Mark 11:1-11, Jesus asks His disciples to fetch a colt for Him to ride into Jerusalem. The disciples follow His instructions without questioning. How can we cultivate a similar level of trust and obedience in our own relationship with Jesus? Consider Hebrews 11:6, which emphasizes the importance of faith in pleasing God. How can you apply this verse to situations in your life where you need to trust and obey Jesus more fully?
- In Mark 11:9-10, the crowds praise Jesus, quoting Psalm 118:25-26. This Psalm is a prophetic reference to Jesus as the promised Messiah. How can we use this passage to strengthen our understanding of Jesus' role in God's plan of salvation, and how does this understanding impact our worship and devotion to Him? Additionally, consider John 1:29, where Jesus is identified as the "Lamb of God" who takes away the sins of the world. How can meditating on this truth deepen your appreciation for Jesus' sacrifice and motivate you to share the gospel with others?
- Mark 11:11 shows Jesus entering the temple, observing everything, and then leaving with His disciples. This moment shows us that Jesus did not come to conquer politically but to conquer our hearts. He intends to transform and renew our hearts. Read Mark 11:15-17 and 1 Corinthians 3:16-17. What are some ways the Lord has transformed you? Can you share one way you still need transformation?
