Big Idea: As believers, our true citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await our Savior.

  2. Sojourners and strangers.
  3. Living as heavenly citizens.

  1. What does it mean to have our citizenship in heaven, and how should that influence how we live here on earth?
  2. In what ways are we called to let go of earthly allegiances, and what specific things in your life might need to be reevaluated in light of your heavenly citizenship?
  3. How can you remind yourself daily that you are a sojourner and stranger in this world? What practical steps can you take to avoid being conformed to the patterns of this world?
  4. What does living as an ambassador of Christ in your community look like? How can you actively participate in making Him known?
  5. How does the return of Christ and the promise of heaven give you hope in earthly struggles? How can this hope change your outlook and actions?
  6. What temptations or distractions do you face that might pull you away from living as a citizen of heaven? How can you resist these influences?
  7. In what ways can you become more involved in advancing the Gospel through your local church or community, especially in light of being a heavenly citizen?
