Bible Fellowship Group Study Questions:

  1. What definition of faith does the writer of Hebrews give in verses 1–2, and how does this set the tone for the entire chapter?
  2. How does the author of Hebrews illustrate faith through the lives of Old Testament saints like Abel, Enoch, Noah, and Abraham?
  3. According to verses 39–40, what unfulfilled aspect of the promise did these faithful believers await, and how does that connect to us today as New Covenant believers?
  4. In what specific areas of your life do you find it difficult to trust God's promises, and how does Hebrews 11 encourage you to draw near to Him in faith?
  5. Consider the examples of Moses and Rahab. In what ways are you being called to choose obedience to God over the fleeting pleasures or fears of this world?
  6. Hebrews 11 emphasizes both miraculous deliverance and faithful suffering. How do you respond when your faith does not lead to visible success or comfort?
  7. The sermon referenced the father’s plea in Mark 9:24, “I believe; help my unbelief.” What would it look like for you to honestly bring your doubts to the Lord and still walk by faith this week?
  8. How might living with the mindset of being a ‘stranger and exile on the earth’ (v. 13) reshape your values, decisions, and affections? What “better country” are you longing for, and how is that affecting your present obedience?
