The Book of Jonah reveals the relentless grace and mercy of God for His people and for the world.  Jonah does say something about the necessity of obedience and the importance of extending the love of God to a world that desperately needs Him. What this book shows more than anything is the character of the God who created all things and is sovereign over all that He has made.  As we contemplate God's character, there is a richness and depth to the Gospel that we would not see apart from it. Jonah, like us, struggles to follow God's will. And the same grace and mercy God shows to Jonah is shown to us too.  May God reveal His character to you through this series, and may He transform us into the men, women, and children He had in mind from the beginning.
