Holy Week- Saturday: Luke 23:55-56

The women who had come with him from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how his body was laid. Then they returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. Luke 23:55–56 (ESV)
The day between death and resurrection was not wasted. The women, though grieving deeply, obeyed the Lord’s command to rest. In the quiet, they demonstrated trust. Though the work of redemption was complete, its fullness had yet to be revealed. This passage reminds us that even in silence, God is faithful. His purposes continue, even when we cannot yet see them. Waiting in faith is not passive resignation—it is worship. So, in the quiet spaces of life, trust God's perfect timing.
