Anton is the pastor/teaching elder at Mayflower Church. A native of New England, he has over a decade of pastoral ministry experience in church planting, pastoral coaching, and church revitalization. Anton received his Bachelor of Social Science (University of Maine) in 1993, his Master of Divinity (The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) in 2019, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in historical and systematic theology at SBTS. His area of research is the intersection of theological anthropology with transhumanist philosophy and its ethical implications for the church. He is a pianist with a growing passion for classical music, especially Rachmaninoff and Mozart, but is still known to turn up the radio for ’80s hair bands. He also enjoys reading fantasy novels, shopping used bookstores and biking with his family. He has been married to the love of his life, Amy, for thirty-four years. Amy is also pursuing her doctorate in biblical counseling while building a counseling ministry at Mayflower. They have five sons, ages 22-33. anton@mayflowerkingston.org

Bryan Marks, Elder of Missions

Bryan is Chairman of Mayflower Church’s Board of Elders, but it is his other title – Overseer of Music – for which he is best known. Mention the word “music,” and Bryan’s name comes to mind. He brings music to Mayflower Church in many forms: directing the choir at Christmas time and overseeing the Sunday music services, which blend traditional hymns with newer live music. Bryan spent his early years in Kingston and is a Silver Lake Regional High School graduate. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education (with a concentration in voice) from Eastern Nazarene College and a Master’s in Education from Fitchburg State College. Bryan taught for 35 years at Cohasset Middle-High School. Now retired, he lives in Scituate with his wife, Sandra. They have two grown sons and one precious grandson. He has many interests, including woodworking and classic cars. Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

David Glass, Elder of Mobilization

David Glass serves on the Board of Elders at Mayflower Church, one of many roles he has filled. He is also a former member of the Board of Deacons; he leads Bible studies, teaches Sunday School, and, on occasion, preaches on Sunday morning. He additionally coordinates the monthly Men’s Breakfast. David came to Mayflower after being a Roman Catholic for almost 50 years. He met his wife Debbie in 1988; they were married in 1991 and have been members of Mayflower since then. David recalls building his foundation in faith through a Bible Study led by Mayflower Church member Ron DeVries. One of David’s other passions is sports; he is an avid Red Sox fan. Dave and Debbie live in Carver.
