What to Expect

What does worship look like at Mayflower?

Our main purpose in worship is to contemplate and celebrate the glory of God in Christ Jesus. Our gatherings focus on hearing from God and responding to Him. We know the Lord through His Word, so we come together corporately to pursue Him through reading, preaching, singing, praying, and seeing the truth of the Scripture. As the Holy Spirit leads us in understanding and pondering the seriousness of our sin, we are also reminded of what a great Savior we have in Jesus and the joy of living for His Kingdom in the fellowship of other believers.

Our preaching is expository in that our pastor seeks to proclaim faithfully the intended meaning of the Scriptures. We publicly devote ourselves to prayer as an expression of our dependence on the Lord, and we see the gracious work of God displayed visibly to us through celebrating baptisms and the Lord’s Supper.

When do we meet?

Our weekend service happens on Sundays at 10 AM at 207 Main Street in Kingston. Whether you’re young or old, married or single – EVERYONE is welcome. We also have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week except for July and August.

What are the gatherings like?

Our Sunday worship is casual, relaxed, and slightly more than one hour long. Worship involves a blend of traditional and modern music, updates on upcoming events, and a relevant, engaging message – typically from our Senior Pastor, Anton Brown.

We have someone available in the foyer to care for first-time visitors. They will help you get quickly oriented to Mayflower. Look for the START HERE sign on the left when you enter the building.

Where do I park?

We have a parking lot on-site with clearly reserved visitor parking near our front door.  But please, park anywhere you'd like!

What should I wear?

Whatever you like! Track pants and a sweater or your ‘Sunday best’ – we don’t care as long as you feel comfortable. Most people dress casually!

What about my kids?

Our foyer has a secure check-in system for all kids participating in the nursery or children's ministry.

Our children's ministry, Discipletown, is offered every Sunday during the message. If you prefer your kids to stay in the services, we have engaging activity sheets that help them remain focused and engaged with the message.

A toddler and infant nursery are also provided with live-streamed service for parents remaining with their little ones.  It is not necessary, but it would be very helpful for us if you pre-registered for your visit by going to our Children's Ministry Page and pre-registering using the Church Center app.  Pre-registration makes Sunday morning check-in a breeze.

But I need coffee on a Sunday morning.

Us too. We get it. After the service, we provide coffee and food to share.
