1. What are the key contrasts between Mount Sinai and Mount Zion described in Hebrews 12:18–24?
2. Why do you think the author of Hebrews chose such vivid imagery (fire, gloom, festal gathering, etc.) to describe these two mountains?
3. What is the significance of the warning in verses 25–29? How does it tie together the themes of reverence, worship, and God’s unshakable kingdom?
4. When you sin or feel ashamed, do you tend to think and respond more like you're at Mount Sinai or Mount Zion?
5. How do you currently view God when you come to Him in prayer? Does your prayer life reflect the welcome and joy of Zion, or the fear and distance of Sinai?
6. Are there ways you might be "refusing Him who speaks" by neglecting or downplaying God's Word in your daily life?
7. How does the reality of belonging to an unshakable kingdom affect your perspective on today’s cultural, political, or personal upheavals?
8. What would it look like for you to offer “acceptable worship” marked by gratitude, reverence, and awe?
