Bible Fellowship Group Study Questions:

  1. From verses 1–5, what specific elements of the tabernacle are mentioned, and how does each foreshadow the person and work of Christ?
  2. According to verses 6–9, what limitations of the old covenant does the text emphasize, particularly regarding mercy and atonement?
  3. In verses 9–10, what does the author reveal about the inability of the old covenant rituals to purify the conscience or change the heart?
  4. Where in your life are you tempted to rely on "old ways"—self- reliance, ritual, or performance—to draw near to God? How might you turn from these and trust Christ's finished work more fully?
  5. How does seeing the Tabernacle as a shadow of Christ stir your affection for Him? What specific picture—light, bread, mercy seat— resonates with you most, and why?
  6. How do you respond when you reflect on your past or present sins, especially those you feel are high-handed or deliberate? Do you retreat into guilt or rest in the mercy of Christ?
  7. What practical habits can you develop to preach the gospel to your heart daily so that your conscience is purified and your hope is anchored in grace, not performance?
  8. How has God already begun transforming your heart? What evidence do you see of the Spirit’s work changing your affections, reshaping your desires, or healing your wounds?
