Pastor Anton Brown - 1/22/2023
Sermon Outline:
Big Idea: In order to keep His promise, God opposes the proud.

- God's holy judgment (vs. 6- 7)
- His holy intervention (vs. 8-9)
Bible Fellowship Group Questions:
- Those that gathered on the Plain of Shinar sought to glorify themselves. What were they doing that makes this clear? See vs 1-4. What phrase in the passage represents this?
- How might we attempt to make a name for ourselves today? What is the solution to this? See John 5:44.
- In consideration that God is not bound by time or space, what does it mean that “the Lord came down”? See verses 6-7.
- Pastor Anton stated the the Lord coming to judge Babel prefigured the coming of Christ to judge the sins of the world at the Cross. Do you agree? Why or why not.
- In verse 8 God does what He said He would do (vs 6-7). How does this point us to the faithfulness of God in all things, especially in keeping His promises to us?
