1. Pastor Anton is convinced that creation is young. This is because in Genesis 1:5, the reference to the first day is not an ordinal number. Genesis 1:5 (ESV) … And there was evening and there was morning, one day. Do you find that convincing? Why or why not?

3. What is the significance of the repeated phrase “And God said…” (wayomer Elohim)? How does this inform our understanding of God’s power and sovereignty?
4. Pastor Anton said that Genesis 1:1-31 is an argument against of the false gods of the nations surrounding Israel. How is that?
5. What does it mean to be created in the image of God? How do we represent God in the earth?
6. What is the significance of God creating human beings as male and female with the mandate to have dominion and be fruitful and multiply?
