Biblical Devotion | Titus 3:1-11
Pastor Anton Brown - 3/5/2023
Sermon Outline:
Big Idea: As people saved apart from their deeds, we are called to devote ourselves to good works.
- Called to good works (1-6)
- Renewed by the Spirit (5-7)
- Remaining focused (9-10)
Bible Fellowship Group Study Questions:
- In verses 1-6, especially in conjunction with verse 8, we learn that we need to be ready for every good work. Pastor Anton encouraged us to consider good works to include both growing in holiness and serving others. What do you think? See also verse 3-4.
- According to verses 5-7, how are we to do the works mentioned above? Another way of asking this question is by what means or what/who enables us to do the good works?
- John MacArthur said, “The intended and inevitable result of saving faith is a life of good works, and it was for that purpose that Christ redeemed the church.” Read verses 8-10. What can distract us from our focus on good works, both in our growth in holiness and our serving others? How can we remain focused?
