Biblical Fellowship | Titus 3:12-15
Pastor Anton Brown - 3/12/2023
Sermon Outline:
Big Idea: A biblical church participates and cooperates in the work of the ministry.
- Functions as a team (12-13)
- Everyone participates (14)
- Love one another in the Gospel (15)
Bible Fellowship Group Study Questions:
- In verses 12-13, we see Paul coordinating his band of missionaries. How do you perceive that same kind of coordination happening at Mayflower? Read Ephesians 4:11-16 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-30. Why is it important that we work together as a team? How can we do better? (Send your ideas to Pastor Anton)
- Learning to “devote [ourselves] to good works” is the task that the Lord wants to ensure is happening in the church. What might that look like in your life and the life of Mayflower Church?
- Romans 12:4-8, note “let them use them”. A saying in the Vineyard Churches (of the Jesus Revolution movie) is “Everyone gets to play.” What does that mean? How can we live that out at Mayflower?
- Pastor Anton said that Titus 3:15 shows us that a biblical church cooperates and participates in the ministry with love for one another. Look at 1 Corinthians 13:1-13. How have you done well in grounding your fellowship at Mayflower in love? How have you failed? How about the church in general—how has it demonstrated its ministry is grounded in love? How has it come up short? Where do we go from here?
