After his instruction about sowing and reaping (Gal. 6:7–8), Paul gives the following command to the church: “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (vv. 9–10). Christians are to persevere in doing good toward others, both unbelievers and, especially, those in the church. Thus, another important ministry of the church is introduced—the church cares for people, both outside and inside of it.
